This March, The Conversant asked some of its favorite interviewers to record conversations with poets that they admire—either at, or in the spirit of, AWP. Here Leonard Schwartz has invited Forrest Gander to participate in a mutual interview about both poets’ recent work.

Forrest Gander’s most recent books are Eiko & Koma, a collaboration with the eponymous dancers, and Fungus Skull Eye Wing: Selected Poems of Alfonso D’Aquino. Forthcoming any moment is the whopping bilingual Pinholes in the Night: Essential Poems from Latin America, edited by Raul Zurita and Forrest Gander.
